Below is a list of each state along with the details surrounding its authorization, exemption or non authorization.

Alabama

Emmaus Bible College is NOT authorized to admit Alabama residents into any distance learning courses at this time.

Alaska

Emmaus Bible College is EXEMPT from requiring authorization to admit residents from the State of Alaska as we do not have a physical presence in the state as defined in AS 14.48 per regulation 20 AAC 17.015 (a) (8).

Arizona

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Arizona into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Arizona State Board per A.R.S. § 32-3001(5).

Arkansas

Emmaus Bible College is NOT authorized to admit Arkansas residents into any distance learning courses at this time.

California

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of California into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education per CEC Section 94858.

Colorado

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Colorado into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Colorado Department of Higher Education.

Connecticut

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Connecticut into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Connecticut Office of Higher Education per Section 10a-4-24.

Delaware

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Delaware into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Delaware Department of Education, and we do not require externships/internships/practicums/field experiences for any of our courses to be conducted at a site in Delaware

District of Columbia

The Florida Commission for Independent Education does not require licensure for Emmaus Bible College to admit residents of the State of Florida.

Emmaus Bible College is EXEMPT from requiring authorization to admit residents from the State of Hawaii as we do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Hawaii Post-Secondary Education Authorization Program.

Idaho

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Idaho into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Idaho Office of the State Board of Education per IDAPA 01.01.11.200.03.

Illinois

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Illinois into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.

Indiana

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education - combined with the Indiana Board for Proprietary Education - has determined that Emmaus Bible College is exempt from needing authorization to admit residents of the State of Indiana. Per the Commission/Board authority, EBC's educational instruction is determined to be of "clearly religious nature" in the context of the Indiana Code 21-18.5-2-12.

Iowa

Emmaus Bible College is AUTHORIZED to admit residents of the State of Iowa as a postsecondary educational institution that grants degrees in the state.

Kansas

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Kansas into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Kansas Board of Regents.

Kentucky

Licensure is not required for Emmaus Bible College to admit residents of the State of Kentucky based on our certification that EBC is not engaging in any of the "operating or soliciting" activities listed in the licensing regulation 13 KAR 1:020 Section 1(9)(a)-(e).

Louisiana

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Louisiana into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Louisiana Board of Regents.

Maine

Emmaus Bible College qualifies for a full exemption by the Maine Department of Education under MRS 20-A, Chapter 149, and may admit residents from the State of Maine into all distance learning courses.

Maryland

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the state of Maryland. COMAR 13B.05.01 relates only to full online degree programs.

Massachusetts

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Massachusetts into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education.

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Mississippi into any of our distance learning courses. We only offer courses and/or programs from our location in Iowa and we are not domiciled, incorporated, or otherwise located in Mississippi.

Missouri

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Missouri into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Missouri Department of Higher Education.

Montana

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Montana into any of our distance learning courses. According to 34 CFR 600.9, authorization requirements do not apply to religious degrees or certificates that are offered by an institution that is owned, controlled, operated and maintained by a religious organization lawfully operating as a non-profit religious corporation that awards only religious degrees or certificates.

Nebraska

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Nebraska into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by Nebraska's Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education (Neb. Rev. Stat. §85-2403).

New Jersey

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of New Jersey into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education per N.J.A.C. 9A:1-1.2.

New Mexico

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of New Mexico into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the New Mexico Higher Education Department.

New York

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of New York into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the New York State Department of Education.

North Carolina

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of North Carolina into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina who have been delegated authority by the North Carolina General Assembly.

North Dakota

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Rhode Island into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner.

South Carolina

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of South Carolina into any of our distance learning courses. We do not engage in any of the activities defined as "operating or soliciting" in the state as defined by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.

South Dakota

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of South Dakota into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical location in the state as defined by the South Dakota Secretary of State Corporate Divisions per SDCL 13-48-43.

Tennessee

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Tennessee. It was determined by The Division of Postsecondary State Authorization of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission that EBC is exempt from Title 49, Chapter 7, Part 20 of the Tennessee Code and the regulations contained in Rule Chapter 1540-01-02.

Texas

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Texas into any of our distance learning courses. We are regionally accredited by an agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the US Department of Education and we do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Texas Administrative Code Title 19 Part 1 Chapter 7.3.

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Vermont into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the Vermont Agency of Education.

Virginia

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Virginia into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.

Washington

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of Washington into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the State of Washington's Washington Student Achievement Council - Degree Authorization Division.

West Virginia

Emmaus Bible College may admit residents of the State of West Virginia into any of our distance learning courses. We do not have a physical presence in the state as defined by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission Title 133, Legislative Rule.

Wisconsin

Emmaus Bible College is EXEMPT from requiring authorization to admit residents from the State of Wisconsin at this time under s.38.50(1)(e)3. At this time we are offering courses only and the courses offered of a "parochial or denominational character having a sectarian objective".
