Emmaus Alumni
The Emmaus Experience doesn't have to end at graduation! We encourage our alumni to continue to engage with the university and offer a variety of opportunities on and off campus.
From the VP's Desk
Since I came to Emmaus, I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you, our Emmaus Alumni. I’ve been excited to see many return to campus for Iron Sharpens Iron and other conferences, Alumni & Parent Weekend, Christian Ministries Seminars, sporting events, and more. I have also had the privilege of engaging with some through my travels to assemblies and camps and touring with the Emmaus Ensemble.
If I haven’t connected with you yet, I look forward to the opportunity to do so! In the meantime, we’d love for you to engage with Emmaus through Concerning Him podcasts and other platforms; check out all the quick links! If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to watch our 2023 video series Who is Emmaus? that highlighted members of the Emmaus community, including alumni like you. We desire to add value to your life through this content and meaningful events. See below for events and more!
Many exciting things are happening at Emmaus University, and we believe some of our best years are ahead of us. We continue to thank the Lord Jesus for each of you, asking that He will be glorified through your faithful service and work.
Together with you,
Chad Cunningham
Vice President for Advancement & Alumni Relations

Support the Impact
Alumni Project
With each student receiving a $6,000 Founders Grant, Emmaus continues its unwavering commitment to providing the necessary resources that keeps a Biblical education attainable. Because of our laser focus on affordability and excellence, Emmaus is ranked as Iowa’s #1 Best Collegiate Value and Iowa’s #1 Most Affordable College and University. These rankings tell the world what we already know – EBC educates and equips students to impact the World for Christ while not saddling its graduates with mountains of debt.
I humbly ask you to join us in thoughtfully and prayerfully considering how the Lord might lead you to help keep Emmaus within financial reach for those who seek a practical, Biblically-focused, academically-rigorous education. There's still time to participate in the 2024 alumni giving opportunity to the scholarship fund.
Should the Lord lead you to support this giving effort, you can:
- Give securely online now (select scholarship fund as the designation)
- Mail a check with Alumni Project Scholarship Fund in the memo line
- Give Appreciated Assets like stocks or real estate
- Designate Emmaus for your Qualified Charitable/Required Minimum Distribution
- Contact the Advancement Office at 563.588.8000 x1123 to establish recurring gifts or a pledge
Alumni Events
Save the Dates for these events:
Homecoming: Sept 27-28, 2024
Plan to join us for many great events throughout the weekend like catching a sports event or choir concert, attending a complimentary picnic, revisiting Dubuque, and participating in Friday afternoon’s 9-hole two-man scramble golf outing or Saturday's Fun Run & Kids' Run.
As an alumnus of Emmaus, you're invited to a special Alumni Dinner for food and fellowship on Friday, Sept 27 at 6PM in the Pollard Fieldhouse Mezzanine - free for alumni upon registration. We hope to see you at the Alumni Soccer game, too! Plus, revisit your Emmaus days with meals in the dining hall, sitting in on class, or hanging out in the Coffee Bean.
Although registration is free, please register if you plan to attend. Activities with associated costs may be paid at the door, including the golf tournament, sporting events, and meals.
